Dr Jamin Farebrother BVSc MANZCVS
Veterinarian / Practice Owner
Jamin graduated as a veterinarian from Sydney University in December 1993. After working in Australia for 2 years, he travelled and worked in mixed animal practices in Great Britain, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Returning to Australia he became a flying veterinarian operating out of Charters Towers in Northern Queensland.
Jamin bought the Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic in 2003 and moved into the purpose built premises in 2012. He has grown the practice into a thriving business servicing the whole Darwin and Rural community.
His interests include small animal surgery (both orthopedic and soft tissue), dermatology, assisted reproduction, ultrasonography, ophthalmology as well as equine medicine and surgery.
He acquired his membership with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the medicine of horses in 2008 and continues to enjoy working with horses and large animals.

Dr Victoria Swadling BVSc HONS
Veterinarian
Tori graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021 and began her career in rural mixed practice in 2022. She then moved to Kentucky, USA, where she completed a theriogenology fellowship and a rotating hospital internship at the world-renowned Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. She joined the HSVC team in August 2024, with a strong interest in reproduction, surgery, lameness, and most importantly – all the babies!
Tori is committed to providing a thorough and holistic approach to veterinary care, using our extensive range of equipment to create personalised and case-specific treatment for each patient that comes to our clinic.

Dr Jasmine Jones BVSc HONS
Veterinarian
A graduate of James Cook University, Jasmine joined the HSVC team in February 2026. With a lifelong passion for helping sick and injured animals, becoming a veterinarian was a natural path. Jasmine has a particular love for equine and feline medicine and is committed to continuing to broaden her clinical experiences across a diverse range of cases.
Jasmines approach to treatment focuses on assessing the entire patient and working collaboratively with owners to develop practical, well-considered, care plans that support both the animal’s wellbeing and the owner’s circumstances.
Jasmine is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for her patients and building lasting relationships founded on trust and quality care.

Heidi Wahl
Practice Manager
Heidi joined the HSVC team in 2026, brining many years of administrative and management experience to her role as practice manager. She is passionate about animals and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for both clients and their pets.
Origionally from a small town in South Africa, Heidi made the move to Australia in 2016 and now proudly calls it home. Outside of work you can find her spending time with her family, attending car races, crocheting, or deep into a good book!

Elizabeth Robbins
Veterinary Nurse
Lizzie Joined the team at Howard Springs Vet Clinic in 2024 and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has a strong passion for large animal care, with a particular interest in equine nursing. As a horse owner herself, she has both professional expertise and personal experience.
Inspired by a lifelong love of animals, Lizzie brings a calm, compassionate, and attentive approach to every patient she cares for. She is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and is a valued member of the Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic team.

Aleesha Hough
Veterinary Nurse
Aleesha recently began her Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing with us at Howard Springs Vet Clinic and is looking forward to continuing her studies to complete her Certificate IV in the future.
With a strong interest in large animal care, Aleesha brings both passion and practical experience to our mixed practice. As an owner of livestock, horses, and donkeys, she has hands-on experience in animal handling, husbandry, and understanding the unique needs of large animals.
Aleesha finds great fulfilment in supporting animal health and wellbeing and is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the animals she cares for. She strives to ensure every client feels welcomed, comfortable, and confident that their animals are in safe and compassionate hands.

Bianca Sharp
Veterinary Nurse
Bianca has had a lifelong love of animals and knew from a young age that she wanted a career working alongside them. While her path into veterinary nursing was not a traditional one, her determination to pursue her passion led her to transition from hospitality into the veterinary field.
Now two years into her Veterinary nursing career, Bianca is currently studying towards her Certificate IV qualification. She has a strong focus on supporting both patients and their owners.
Understanding that pets are cherished family members, Bianca brings empathy, professionalism, and genuine compassion to every interaction, ensuring both animals and their owners feel supported throughout their veterinary journey.
