Dr Rebecca Blanchette DVM
Whilst studying Veterinary Medicine at Sydney University, Rebecca did 2 vet student placements at the Howard Springs Vet clinic. Her skill set overall compatibility with the practice made it a very logical choice for her to join the team in 2018 after graduating.
Soft tissue and orthopedic surgery are of particular interest to her as is working with medical and behavioral cases. Whilst studying, Rebecca gained additional insight into the veterinary industry as she volunteered as a veterinary nurse for 5 years, both in Australia and New Zealand to broaden her experience.
Having grown up with horses and participated in equine events, Rebecca is very confident working with large animals and is regularly seen out at the Darwin Racetrack representing the practice in the capacity of supervising Veterinarian.
Alison has been working as a Veterinary practice manager in the Northern Territory since 2008. She joined the Howard Springs Vet team in 2020. Alison has a special interest in the rehabilitation and rearing of local, native wildlife.
Howard Springs Vet clinic was the starting point of Jess’ Veterinary Nursing career as it was where she did her initial work experience placement. She began her vet nursing in 2008 after moving to Darwin and has worked in the NT since then. After completing her Certificate II in animal studies in 2011 she went on to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing in 2013.
Her special interest are surgical nursing and equine work and outside of the clinic she is a keen participant in dog showing.
Ffin Started working at Howard springs vet in 2016. She has completed cert II in animal studies and is currently finishing her Diploma of Science and Certificate IV Vet nursing.
Ffin loves working with both small and large animals and can often be found out in the horse paddocks and yards ensuring our equine patients are receiving the extra care and attention they deserve.
Kiralee joined the team in 2021. After completing her Certificate II in Animal Studies at Kurri Kurri Tafe in 2015 she went on to complete her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2016 while working at Shoal Bay Veterinary Clinic in NSW. Time spent working at a cattle station outside of Katherine introduced her to life in the Northern Territory and gave her the skills to handle and work with large animals.
Having started her nursing career working in a small animal practice Kiralee is very fond of working with the cats and dogs that are cared for in our clinic.
